I jump around so much on my economic views! Socially i’ve never changed my mind on anything…then again i suppose one thing the left do have is a solidarity on social issues.
I’d consider myself a market socialist most probably. E.g., a totally free market in which competition does exist, however all profits are socialised. This enables the free market to exist, whilst mitigating the most heinous failings of it that we are seeing in todays society. I don’t advocate a planned economy like many leftists, i don’t see how turning a monopoly of three businesses into a state sponsored monopoly of one business is good for the working class.
I’ll probably have changed my economic outlook by the end of the week, mind you.
I agree with some of Keynes work.
